 ANGELA EDWARDS JOINS WAHLQUIST A native of central Georgia, Angela and her husband Bryan are the owners of Aunt Zelda's Furniture in Macon and Warner Robins Georgia. Prior to opening Aunt Zelda's in 1995, Angela attended Georgia College and State University where she earned a B.B.A. in Marketing. It was during this time that Angela's leadership skills began to emerge. She served in many volunteer and leadership capacities including President of Phi Mu Fraternity. Because of Angela's continued dedication and work through the years with the university, the Georgia College Alumni Association selected her to receive the "Ethel Rae Mozo Stewart" community service award in 2010. It was Angela and Bryan's dream to open Aunt Zelda's. Since opening in 1995, this unique and eclectic store has been featured in national industry publications. The business also received national sales awards from Norwalk for ranking in the top five stores inthe country. In 2008 the business received the prestigious "Conerstone Award." Angela's efforts to serve the furniture industry have never gone unnoticed. For the past eleven years, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Furniture Association and in 2008 Angela served as President of the Association, becoming the second female President since the association's inception in 1954. In addition to her passion for her family and business, Angela finds the time to support her community through volunteerism. Just a few of the many organizations of which Angela has worked and supported include Children's Literacy Coalition, Children's Hospital of Central Georgia, Macon Volunteer Clinic, Macon Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, Rotary Club and Leadership Macon Board. Angela and her husband Bryan of seventeen years make their home in Forsyth, Georgia. Angela will join Wahlquist as a regional marketing consultant concentrating her efforts towards the Southeast region of the United States.   WAHLQUIST MANAGEMENT CORPORATION ATTENDS GNYHFA AND MFANJ DINNER DANCE AND GALA Mandy Bartlett and Angela Edwards attended the annual GNYHFA and MFANJ Dinner, Dance and Gala held in Suffern, NY on Saturday December 3rd. "We were so proud to be a part of this spectacular event honoring the Four Pillars of the Furniture Industry. We congratulate all four honorees, Patrick Cory, Edwards Massood, Russell Bienenstock and Brad Pyne," stated Mandy Bartlett, Vice President of Wahlquist Management Corporation. And Angela Edwards, Vice President of Sales and Marketing added, "What an honor to be among these individuals that mean so much to our industry." The evening ended with Wahlquist Management giving away an all expense paid trip for two to the Cowboys/Giants game at Cowboys Stadium on December 11th. After nearly 50 years, Therll's Furniture is closing their doors. This will be a bitter sweet ending with sales already at a half a year's business in the first two weeks. PUTTING ON A GREAT SHOW IN MISSOURI B & W Furniture in Bethany, MO have put their trust in Wahlquist Management to conduct their first ever high impact event. This amall town furniture retailer generated 6 months normal volume in 5 weeks! This powerful and quick high impact event was the right choice for this long time furniture retailer. Again, WMC is showing them how to get it done in the "show me state".  WELL KNOWN STORE IS CLOSING IN MARIETTA Leather Gallery & Bedding Center, a very well known furniture retailer in Marietta is closing their doors forever and has teamed with Wahlquist Management. Early into the event, results are impressive. This Store Closing has caught the attention of Marietta and surrounding areas.  A TEXAS SIZE EVENT Nacogdoches Furniture of Nacogdoches TX and Wahlquist Management are putting on a Texas size event. Nacogdoches Furniture has made the decision to close their doors and big results are expected. Their normal month's business has doubled in only the first week!  DISCOUNT FURNITURE WAREHOUSE SAYS GOODBYE AFTER 30 YEARS After 30 years of admirably serving the Murphy community, Discount Furniture Warehouse is saying goodbye and they have selected Wahlquist to conduct this Going Out of Business event. This event is the talk of the town and is reeling in big numbers. Just underway, nearly three months volume has been generated in the first 5 days! Looks like they are on their way to a strong finish.  WELL KNOWN STORE CLOSING IN PERRY Stanley Furniture, a very well known and respected furniture retailer of Perry, GA is closing their doors after nearly 50 years. This is the site of another tremendous WMC "Going Out of Business" event.
